Assistance Eligibility

IFM’s mission is to provide short-term assistance to individuals and families in need. IFM lends a hand to assist your family through a crisis due to sudden unemployment, unexpected medical expenses, or other issues.

If you live in our service area, meet the income requirements*, have a documented crisis**, and are able to submit required documents. You may be eligible to receive assistance.

*Most programs require that clients are 80% or below the Average Median Income for the DFW area.

**A documented crisis is a situation that came about unexpectedly and can be documented. This crisis created an immediate need and was not caused by the conduct of the individual.
