Interfaith’s annual Apple Tree Project is in full swing. The Apple Tree Project provides a backpack, a set of grade-appropriate school supplies, clothing and shoes to economically disadvantaged children in Denton ISD. The ultimate goal of this project is not to simply give supplies to students, but to provide a launching pad for their educational success and start them off on a competitive level with their peers.
Interfaith happily and thankfully acknowledges the Denton Benefit League, who gave Interfaith a grant for 800 boxes of school supplies. We are also grateful for the help and efforts of the Denton Breakfast Kiwanis Club, whose annual pancake supper and auction will benefit the Apple Tree program. The fundraiser is Friday April 10 from 4:30 to 7:30 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2255 North Bonnie Brae in Denton. If you cannot make it but still want to help out, please consider donating here.

We need volunteers to help with Apple Tree! We are looking for volunteers to help with registration. We are especially looking for bilingual volunteers. Please spread the word and sign up to volunteer here.

Individuals who do not have a host site but still want to adopt can check on the Apple Tree webpage. It is updated frequently, so check back often!
