When the Well is Dry, We Know the Worth
When: Throughout Decenmber 2015

So What? Starting November 13th, the Greater Denton Arts Council will present the thought provoking work of native Texan, Neal Paustian. In When the Well is Dry, We know the Worth, Paustian uses both steel and glass to highlight and raise awareness of the socio-political issue of water conservation, a growing problem across the United States. Using glass as a metaphor for water, the artist transforms glass and steel into poignant explorations of the fragility of both glass and our nation’s water supply.
Boxcar Bandits at Mulberry St. Cantina

Movie Night at II Charlies

Wednesday Night Social Run

So What? A free 5k group run through Denton. Runners of all levels and abilities are welcome. The group meets at Oak Street Draft House every Wednesday night at 6:45, and the run starts at 7:00. Join in on the fun!

Denton Community Market
When: Saturdays in December from 9 AM-1 PM
Where: Denton County Historical Park, West Mulberry Street
So What? This weekly community market hosts local produce and art vendors as well as on-site food and music. Community groups and local businesses will also be present. More information is at dentonmarket.org
Saturday Arts and Crafts Fair
When: Second Saturdays in December from 2-6 PM
Where: Mulberry St. Cantina, 110 Mulberry St. Denton
So What? Mulberry Street Cantina hosts an indoor community market every Saturday at 2:00 P.M. It’s a wonderful way to meet and greet your local vendors, crafters and artists. Stop by and shop for some unique gifts or items for the house. It’s a kid and family friendly environment. Shop local while having a tasty margarita or craft beer.
Afternoons at Audacity

So What? Yoga fans of all levels are welcome to enjoy free yoga taught by teacher trainees and bring a canned good to benefit the Denton Community Food Center.
UNT Avenue C Vocal Jazz Ensemble

First Friday Denton

So What? Experience Denton’s art scene in many forms on First Friday. These businesses and galleries will have activities throughout the evening between the hours of 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with hours varying. It’s a great way to stroll through downtown, experience and observe local art activities.
Evening in Bethlehem

So What? FUMC-Denton will begin the 2015 holiday season on the same night as the Tree Lighting on the Square! We celebrate Jesus’ birth with Live Nativity, live music, door prizes, petting zoo, storytelling, crafts, food, wassail, and more. Join us in Ivey Garden (front lawn) and the front steps just off of Locust Street on December 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. We will also be in Cole Chapel.
