With temperatures as high as they've been, it is hard to believe that fall and winter are just around the corner. This means that it's almost time to break out those jackets, coats and scarves.
Unfortunately, many families in our area will be unable to afford a quality coat for their child this year. Luckily, you can help!
Interfaith Ministries is currently collecting new and gently used coats as part of its annual Coats for Kids project. Last year, Coats for Kids provided coats and jackets to more than 330 children in our community!
Churches, organizations and businesses interested in collecting coats for the drive should contact Lehia Hill at 940-566-5927.
Those interested in donating can drop items off at Interfaith's office, which is located at 1109 N. Elm St., from now until October 13.
The coats will be distributed to children in the community on October 25.
Please make sure that coats are clean and in good condition before donating.
Help Interfaith keep our kids warm this winter!
