From time-to-time, Denton citizens experience short-term financial emergencies,
which prevent them from paying for vital utility service. The P-L-U-S One program (Prevent Loss of Utility Service) assists
our less fortunate families in the Denton community to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
How
It Works
You can help the less fortunate families in our community by filling out the P-L-U-S One portion
on the front of your monthly bill or by contacting your friendly customer service representative at 940.349.8700.
The amount that you pledge will be added to your monthly bill. Each month, the funds contributed to the program are forwarded
to Interfaith Ministries, which disburses the funds to hardship-stricken families to help maintain their utility service.
Your Benefits
By
contributing to the P-L-U-S One Program, you can help those less fortunate families in our Denton community get back on their
feet.
Your donation could even help save a life during the hot summer or cold winter months.
Your contributions
are tax-deductible.
You may discontinue your contributions to the program at any time by contacting Denton Municipal
Electric's Customer Service Department. Neither your credit standing nor your utility service will be jeopardized should
you delay or discontinue your contributions.
